02 What to Tell Us
What to Include in Your Lombok & Liveaboard Enquiry
To match you to the right dive plan and give a realistic, indicative quote, please include as much of the following as possible.
1. Travel dates and flexibility
- Exact dates or at least month/year.
- Flexibility: “±3 days”, “any week in August”, “only school holidays”.
- Region by season: for example:
- Lombok & Gilis: generally diveable year-round; best surface conditions usually around April–November.
- Belongas Bay & The Magnet: hammerhead chances typically higher July–September; sea state can be rough.
- Komodo: dive cruises typically operate year-round, with different sectors favoured by season.
- Raja Ampat: peak liveaboard season usually October–April.
2. Certification level and recent experience
Tell us:- Your highest certification (e.g. Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue, Deep, Nitrox).
- Number of logged dives and when you last dived.
- Any current limits: comfort depth, currents, negative entries, night dives.
- Who’s diving: mixed levels, juniors (10–14 years), snorkellers only.
- Gili Islands & easy Lombok reefs: suitable for beginners and rusty divers, usually from Open Water upwards.
- Belongas Bay / The Magnet & strong Komodo currents: for advanced, current-experienced divers only, and only in suitable conditions. We will not recommend these for beginners or low recent experience.
3. Region, route and trip style
In your message, please specify:- Region(s) of interest: Lombok, Gili Islands, Bali, Sumbawa, Komodo, Labuan Bajo, Raja Ampat, or a combination.
- Trip type:
- Day diving from Lombok or the Gilis.
- Introductory / refresher diving in Lombok or the Gilis.
- Liveaboard cruise – cabin on a scheduled Komodo Luxury departure.
- Private liveaboard charter – full-boat charter on Komodo Signature or Komodo Prestige.
- Focus: general reef diving, big pelagics (mantas, sharks), macro/photography, family-friendly, honeymoon, or mixed group.
4. Group size and composition
Please include:- Number of certified divers.
- Number of non-divers / snorkellers.
- Ages of any children or juniors.
- Any special requirements: private guide, language needs, dietary preferences, mobility considerations.
5. Budget & comfort level
We quote per trip, but rough guidelines (last verified June 2026, always by enquiry):- Gili/Lombok day diving: typically from mid-range upwards for reputable operators with safe boats and gear.
- Komodo Luxury scheduled cruises (per person, sharing): usually mid–upper range for Indonesian luxury phinisi liveaboards.
- Private charter on Komodo Signature or Komodo Prestige: price depends on season, route, guest count and length, typically suitable for families, groups of friends, or photographers seeking full control over itinerary.

How do I book Lombok diving or a liveaboard with you?

We reply with available options, indicative pricing and next steps. Once you choose an option, we issue a formal offer with payment terms so you can secure your day diving or liveaboard.
How fast do you reply to a Lombok liveaboard enquiry?
We aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours, and often faster during Indonesian business hours. Complex multi-region itineraries or requests across peak dates can take slightly longer while we confirm liveaboard schedules and transfers, but we’ll update you on progress so you know what to expect.
Can I plan everything via Lombok diving WhatsApp instead of email?
Yes. Many guests start and finish their planning via WhatsApp on +62 811-3823-875. You can share dates, certifications, group size and budget there, and we’ll send you route ideas, availability and voice notes if useful. For the actual booking confirmation and payment instructions we may also send formal documents by email so you have everything clearly recorded.
What certification do I need for Lombok, the Gilis, Komodo or Raja Ampat?
For the Gilis and easier Lombok sites, Open Water or equivalent is usually sufficient, with options for intro dives and courses. For more advanced Lombok sites like Belongas Bay and stronger-current Komodo or Raja Ampat sites, we generally recommend Advanced Open Water (or higher), experience in currents, and a reasonable number of recent dives. Exact site choice always depends on your personal experience, daily conditions and the cruise director’s safety judgment.
Can you customise a private charter itinerary?
Yes. On Komodo Signature and Komodo Prestige private charters we can tailor the route, focus (photography, family-friendly, pelagic-focused, macro) and daily rhythm within safe and realistic limits for the season and region. Tell us your group’s experience, target species or scenes, and preferred trip length in your enquiry, and we’ll propose charter routes that fit your timing, budget and comfort level.
